A Glimpse of Elsewhere is a limited study created as part of the Chrome portrait series, a body of work exploring reflection, perception, and transformation through hyper realistic metallic form.

Rendered in layered acrylic, the subject’s chrome surface reflects cool turquoise tones and shifting highlights that dissolve into a soft atmospheric background. The luminous color palette introduces a sense of distance and quiet movement, as though the figure has momentarily turned toward something just beyond the visible frame.

The faceted crimson structures surrounding the crown of the head echo the crystalline motifs found throughout the Chrome series, catching light and fragmenting it across the reflective surface of the face. Within this smaller format, the study captures an intimate moment of transition, a fleeting glimpse into another emotional landscape.

Though modest in scale, the work holds the same reflective intensity as the larger portraits in the series, inviting the viewer to pause in the space between observation and imagination.
